Asa Ramen - Torrance, CA

Regular Kotteri with extra chashu, butter, and green onions

Every thursday most of us have classes that run till 10pm, and as always we're STARVING. It has become a tradition to celebrate our survival of another week at Otis by going to our favorite ramen place: Asa Ramen in Torrence. They're conveniently open until 2am, so we can take our time enjoying our delicious meals.

Above is a photo of their standard bowl of ramen: the Kotteri. Don't get me wrong, it's amazing! It's a shoyu base ramen which means its a soy base. Like most ramen houses, Asa has a variety of toppings/additions for your bowl. My favorites are extra chashu, butter and green onion. Gotta have it!

Gyoza appetizer

Typically we end up ordering some appetizers. Asa has some really great gyoza, they fry them when they're still stuck together so it's always fun to pick 'em apart. They're fried to the point where they're soft and gooey yet still hold the fillings inside. These always disappear from the plate within minutes!
